My brother and I started Phoenix roofs up around 5 years ago due to a new demand for insulated conservatory roofs.

We had both, independently, converted several existing roofs and had become frustrated with trying to adapt old roofs to accomplish the best insulation and look. Coupled with having to turn some work away because they could simply not be converted.

With a combined 70 years in the building trade, we felt we were in a perfect position to develop a quality roof which was both strong and lightweight.

One of our main aims was to make the roofs as easy to install as possible. Coming from an installer’s viewpoint, we wanted to build a roof that was as easy to install as any other conventional conservatory roof.

Independent feedback shows that they are not only easier, but quicker than many other systems. Taking as little as 3 hours from arriving on site, to having a new watertight roof in place.

Ultimately, we are family run business delivering a top quality roof, at a fantastic price with a service that we would hope to receive.

One of the biggest problems with conservatories is that, although they are a great way to add space, polycarbonate and glass roofs offer only a limited amount of insulation. This in turn limits the amount of time that they can be used.

Also, old cold conservatories add no value to the property. Some research has shown that installing a warm roof to a conservatory can add twice the roof cost to the property.

Some of the above problems can be overcome by insulating an existing aluminium conservatory roof. Either by insulating the underside of the roof and boarding or by removing the clear sheet material and converting it to an insulated tiled roof.

As with all compromises, trying to convert an existing roof comes with its own issues. Whether due to the strength of the roof, the pitch or even the shape.

We feel the best way to accomplish the finest results is to remove the old roof and replace it with a new purpose built one, giving the best possible insulation values and appearance.

Our roofs are pre-assembled and labelled in our factory to ensure a perfect fit and a quick and easy installation. They are then dismantled and packaged with everything needed to complete the job, including all the insulation, plasterboard, fascias and guttering all the way down to the drywall screws for the plasterboard.

At Phoenix roofs we aim to do as much of the hard work as possible to make your job as easy as possible when it comes to the installation.
